In Georgia, the ASME A17.3-2017 Elevator Safety Code now mandates that all elevators have a Door Lock Monitoring (DLM) system by January 1, 2025. To extend this deadline to January 1, 2026, you must obtain an alteration permit from a certified company by September 1, 2024. Please see official state bulletin listed here.. BULLETIN Door Lock monitoring
At Summit Elevator, we specialize in installing one of the least invasive DLM systems available. This ensures safer use of your elevators with minimal disruption. Our expert team can evaluate whether your elevators meet the new code requirements or if upgrades are necessary.
Additionally, be aware that installing a third-party system on Motion Control Controllers (MCE) will immediately and indefinitely void all support from MCE for the altered controller. Please see official statement from MCE here… MCE DLM Void Support
